The No. 1 Virginia men’s tennis team (32-1, 11-0 ACC) capped off their regular season last weekend with wins against No. 26 Georgia Tech and No. 44 Clemson in Georgia and South Carolina respectively, securing the outright ACC season title and finishing  the ACC regular season undefeated.

On Saturday, the Cavaliers were in Atlanta, Georgia to face the Yellow Jackets at the Bill Moore Tennis Center. They dispatched their competition 5-2 with only #8 Guillermo Gomez and Elliot Potvin registering points for Georgia Tech.

Then on Sunday, Virginia swept Clemson 7-0 to see out their fourth consecutive perfect regular season against ACC opposition. This marks Cavaliers 58^th consecutive win against ACC competition and ties the school record for 32 wins in the regular season, set in 2008.

Next up, the team competes in the ACC tournament in Cary N.C. on Friday, April 23. As the tournament’s top seed, they will start in the quarterfinals against either Miami or NC State.
