The #1 Virginia men’s tennis team (37-1) advanced to the NCAA round of 16 after defeating Navy and #22 Wake Forest in the NCAA Regional’s in Charlottesville over the weekend.

Top-seeded Virginia swept both of their opposition 4-0, playing Navy in the first round on Saturday and Wake Forest in the Second on Sunday.  This marks the team’s seventh consecutive season advancing to the round of 16. It also extends their home win-streak to 74, with the win against the Demon Deacons raising their ACC opposition win-streak to 62.

The team continues the competition on Friday at noon against ACC rivals Duke in Athens Georgia. This will be the third time the Cavaliers face the #16 Blue Devils this season. Virginia defeated Duke to win their fourth consecutive ACC championship earlier in April.
