Wahoo Wire Staff Pick ‘Em…Championship Week
It’s Championship weekend and, even without the ‘Hoos taking part, it should be a good one. If the NIU-Ohio tilt is any bar for how good it will be, expect some excitement. And even if the games are more like the Oregon-UCLA (lack of ) contest, at least you can expect to see some tremendous performances. Here is the games we are picking this weekend…
Oklahoma @ Oklahoma State
Wisconsin vs. Michigan State
Texas @ Baylor
Georgia vs. LSU
Virginia Polytechnic and State University vs. Clemson
I should add it is Championship week for the Wahoo Wire staff as well. Accordingly, if anyone knows any voodoo to help or hurt particular contributors, now would be the time to use it.
Sean McGoey (42-18)
Ok state (playing for their title-game lives)
Wisconsin (montee = the man)
Baylor (as another team gets RGIII’d)
Lsu (not nearly as close as espn’s pundits might have you believe…2 TD’s)
Tech (they way theyre playing right now, I’d pick Maryland over Clemson)
Matt Lewis (42-18)
OK State
Wisconsin
Baylor
LSU
Virginia Tech
Lance Zimmerman (38-22)
Oklahoma
Wisconsin
Baylor
LSU
Virginia Tech
Peter Szeremeta (38-17)
OK State
Wisconsin
Baylor
LSU
Clemson
Kylene Daily (37-18)
OK State
Wisconsin
Baylor
LSU
Clemson
Brad Larkin (31-24)
Oklahoma State
Wisconsin
Baylor
LSU
Clemson
David Berlinghof
OK State
Wisconsin
Texas
LSU
Virginia Tech
Pierce Bishop (33-27)
Oklahoma State- Landry Jones has looked pedestrian of late.
Michigan State- They did it once and I think they can do it again. The Wilson-Ball Express goes off the tracks again. Really stinks because them in the Rose Bowl versus Oregon would be the definition of offensive epicness.
Baylor- Robert Griffin III has a legitmate opportunity to be a top ten draft pick given his tremendous skill set and the success of Cam Newton in the NFL. I know he is only 6’ 2”, but he really has amazed. Accordingly, Texas will not be able to stop it.
LSU- I’m going to have to agree that this will NOT be a close game.
Clemson- No way I’m picking the oher team in this matchup. Honestly, I’m waiting for the other team to be impressive. Just because you win 38-0 does not mean it is impressive. Anyoen that watched the game knows that. They won’t be able to stop Boyd and Watkins if they are on their end of the field as much as the ‘Hoos were last weekend.

I’d like to go ahead and congratulate Matt on our year as Pick ‘Em co-champions…a mathematical certainty. We have the same record, made the same five picks this week, and are four games ahead of the next-closest competitor, who made our same picks with the exception of one game. So in that way, this week of pick’em is exactly like the SEC title game; we already know who’s going to the championship
